Having just read other classmates kind words, I found these words Bev wrote for our 50th class reunion n 2009 – “How blessed we were, as children, to know total freedom and safety. I have had the honor of knowing Bev for many years, meeting her when both our daughters were doing synchronized swimming.\u00a0 Bev came to be my beloved wife’s best friend, and they had many joyous times together in quilting conferences. Bev was a model mother, wife, sister, and daughter.\u00a0 She radiated calm love to so so many, and was an example of an individual who cared for others and adopted the golden rule in her daily life.\u00a0 She will be missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of honesty, integrity, and stewardship will live forever.<\/p>\n

I only attended RHS my freshman year as we moved to Montana so I never got to really know\u00a0 Bev until we worked together at Sinclair refinery.\u00a0 I do remember her mentioning that she had a birthday coming up and that she loved stuffed animals. I had been spear fishing with scuba gear at Seminole reservoir and speared a 4#\u00a0 carp and naturally I figured that qualifies as a “stuffed animal ” ,so I wrapped it in nice birthday paper and gave it to her at her office at Sinclair.Bev eagerly ripped off the paper and recoiled in terror when she saw that big ole carp! She and her boss were giving me some serious dagger eyes \ud83d\udc40\u00a0 so I thought it was best to leave while I was able! Couple of days later I brought a little stuffed animal (skunk) to her home and got back in her good graces again! Had many enjoyable moments with Bev at our reunions. A big thanks to all those who made the reunions happen!<\/p>\n

Bev and I were good friends during high school, double dating a lot, but better yet, ice skating all winter on the skating rink her dad made in the two vacant lots behind the Eaton’s house in Sinclair. She was a much better skater than I, but a perfect friend. I have treasured memories of that friendship all these years. Bev had the greatest smile, and I count on her being at peace and waiting in heaven. My prayers are with her family, asking for comfort in the coming months. JoAnn Koroulis Norris<\/p>\n

My name is Bob Strand and I am a high school classmate of Bev’s throughout our four years at Rawlins Wyoming High School.<\/p>\n
I happen to have been the president of our senior class\u00a0 of 1959 and I wish to send condolences to all of you on behalf of her classmates.<\/p>\n
Thanks to Laurel I have already been able to send Bev’s obituary to those of the class with whom I am still able to contact at this time.\u00a0 I know that they will have received this information with sad hearts, but with fond memories of the times all of us have had to\u00a0 spend with Bev while she was with us at Rawlins High School.<\/p>\n

I think of Bev often because a quilt she made for me as a wedding gift hangs on the wall behind me in the background of all of my zoom meetings.<\/p>\n
I had the pleasure of knowing Bev and Denny when I served as the Associate Pastor at Warrenton UMC. I admired so much about each of them and learned nuggets of wisdom I still think about.<\/p>\n
Bev had such a heart for serving others with her many gifts. She comforted many families in their time of grief through her coordination of funeral receptions at Warrenton. I pray that her family feels comforted by the communities of love that surround them now as they grieve.<\/p>\n

Anyone who knew Bev May remembers her wonderful smile and eager tilt of her head as she engaged in conversation with you.\u00a0 When we moved to our new home 39 years ago, Denny and Bev, Shannon and Angie lived next door and Bev was the first neighbor to welcome us with cookies and offers to help us settle in.\u00a0 I will never forget her kindnesses. \u00a0 She invited several neighbors and friends to join her at St. Stephens to work on a “Quilt in a Day” so we could learn this wonderful skill together, and soon we were all meeting in a Quilt Bee in each other’s homes. \u00a0 Even though we were eventually no longer next-door neighbors, Bev never moved away from our hearts.<\/p>\n

Our sincere sympathies to Bev’s entire family.\u00a0 I loved seeing her sweet, smiling face at our Maranatha concerts.\u00a0 I think I first met Bev through my Mother.\u00a0 They met each other when they attended the Senior Monthly get togethers and lunches at St. Stephen’s.\u00a0 I also remember being with her at the Woodlawn Needlework Show….sitting with her and others at the lunch there.\u00a0 She had a fun sense of humor and was just a lovely, sweet lady.\u00a0 I will miss seeing her.\u00a0 Hoping that time and wonderful memories will help to ease your pain.<\/p>\n

I have fond memories of meeting Bev and especially her daughter Shannon when we moved to Offutt AFB in Nebraska long ago around 1980 or so.\u00a0 I appreciate the many times I was invited over to visit with my friend Shannon. I’ve also always remembered a special dinner of a “Pita Taco Bar” at Bev’s house, my first time ever having Pita bread.
